Miyagi Zao Shichikashuku sits in the town of Shichikashuku, at the southern end of the Miyagi side of the Zao range near the Yamagata border. It is a small, uncrowded local hill with gentle runs, easy to reach from the Sendai and Fukushima plains and reliably snowy through the winter.
