Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose Kiroro over Niseko?

Kiroro gets even more snow than Niseko (21m annually vs 15m). It's much closer to Sapporo (60 min vs 2.5 hours from airport). Slopes are less crowded. Good choice if you want city access plus powder skiing.

Is Kiroro good for families?

Yes. The resort has a kids' ski school, snow play area, and the Kiroro Town indoor facility with pool and activities. Two hotels are ski-in/ski-out. Gentler terrain on Nagamine mountain suits beginners.

Can I visit Kiroro as a day trip from Sapporo?

Easily. Direct buses run from Sapporo (90 min) and Otaru (40 min). You can ski a full day and be back in Sapporo for dinner. Lift tickets and bus packages are available.
