Yuzawa Nakazato Snow Resort

Yuzawa Nakazato is a family-friendly resort in the Yuzawa snow country of Niigata, famous for standing right beside its own station on the JR Joetsu line, with old railway carriages used as a rest house at the base. It has 16 gentle courses and a vertical drop of about 244 metres, with wide nursery slopes and a large kids' snow-play area. Easy access from Tokyo by shinkansen makes it a popular first-timers' and family hill.
