About This Resort
Hiraniwa Kogen lies on the Hiraniwa Pass in the highlands of northern Iwate, famous in summer for one of Japan's largest stands of white birch. The small ski area offers quiet, gentle runs among the trees, well off the main Tohoku ski circuit.
