How do I get to Imajyo 365 from Kanazawa or Osaka?
From Kanazawa, about 90 minutes by car via the Hokuriku Expressway; from Osaka, about 2 hours. By rail, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Tsuruga (since the line was extended in March 2024) then a local Hapi Line Fukui train one stop north to Imajyo Station, where a 20-minute taxi reaches the resort. The Hokuriku Main Line through this section is now Hapi Line Fukui — your JR rail pass no longer covers it. Most visitors drive.
What makes Imajyo 365 unique?
Sea-view slopes with panoramas of the Japan Sea and surrounding mountains. Courses range from beginner to advanced with a maximum slope of 33 degrees. Operates on natural snow only, so check conditions before visiting.
Is Imajyo 365 family-friendly?
Yes. The resort has a dedicated family area with gentle slopes for beginners and children. The scenic views make it enjoyable for all ages. Smaller crowds than major resorts create a relaxed atmosphere.
Imajyo runs only on natural snow — how do I know if it's open?
Always check the resort's official site or social media the night before — they post the latest snow depth and which courses are open. In thin-snow years some lower runs stay closed until heavy snowfall arrives, and the season can start later than the listed mid-December opening or finish earlier than late March. The resort is at a relatively low elevation, so rain at the base after warm spells is also a real possibility in February–March.
How challenging is the terrain at Imajyo 365?
It's a small resort (4 courses, 3 lifts) but with surprising variety: a maximum slope of 33 degrees on the upper expert run and a dedicated family area at the base, with sea views over the Japan Sea on clear days. Most visitors finish the place in a single day. Pair it with a soak at the nearby Imajou-no-Yu onsen or with a stop at the Hapi Line Fukui railway museum in Tsuruga on the way back.
